Featured here are two early Weaver Jack Stands.  The WI-11 is called an "Auto Crutch".   The WI-10 is noted as a "Safety Stand".  Note the unusual cradle on the Safety Stand - it actually fits the contour of a tire and  was designed to be placed under a vehicles wheel, not the frame.
